Audioviper
Hi, I've been attempting to make a weapon mod for TTW, but the the textures keep coming out black. It looks fine in Blender, http://i.imgur.com/cUaQ85e.png & fine in NIFSkope, http://i.imgur.com/4di9rLl.png but as soon as it's in-game it goes up the shoot. (also black in the GECK's preview mudbox.) http://i.imgur.com/mThK5Qe.jpg I've looked around for solutions, but I couldn't find a fix. Anybody know what's wrong here? This is one of my first mesh altering mods, so I don't have much experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Nephelus
Are you using any altered or custom made textures or is everything vanilla?
Audioviper
The Chinese Pistol has altered/modified textures and the stock's texture is completely custom.
imu333
Have you checked that the textures are in the correct folder and/or the directory paths in the nif file point to the right ones?
Audioviper
Yup, everything is where it needs to be. After poking about a bit, I think it might be something to do with the export settings in Blender. Still can't figure out what, though...
MartinPurvis
Could you post the a screeny of a texture path for the gun in nifskope "BSShaderPPLightingProperty" http://s1.postimg.org/q2mlxk4yn/nifskope.jpg and the location it's leading to in windows explorer? Audioviper
The paths are linked to my custom folders in the game's directory. (data > meshes/textures > WM&A)
MartinPurvis
That might be the problem, I'm pretty sure the & is classed as a special character, could be wrong but try and change the folder name to wmanda and the texture path to see if it makes any difference. Audioviper
Nope, still the same result. Even put it in the standard folders.
