SickleYield
I figure it's too much trouble to resurrect my old armor thread. Besides, that one only had the Nightshade Armor, which doesn't seem to have been much of a hit. :) Screenies of the two shopkeepers, Syntyche and Euodia gra-Paulos, wearing the Syntyche and Last Resort armors: http://http//sickleyieldmods.ufrealms.net/miniarmor.jpg Larger version: http://sickleyieldmods.ufrealms.net/armors.jpg Screenies of what I spent my evening last night doing, namely making the cuirass for the Sea Dragon armor: Female: http://sickleyieldmods.ufrealms.net/miniseaf.jpg Larger version: http://sickleyieldmods.ufrealms.net/seafem.jpg Male: http://sickleyieldmods/ufrealms.net/minseam.jpg Larger version: http://sickleyieldmods.ufrealms.net/seamasc.jpg I haven't glow-mapped it yet, but I'm excited about the color-depth potential. Color to alpha=setting with great effects in GIMP. Still have to make all the other pieces for this set, but I'm excited that I finally got a working version (I've been trying for a month because of Blender/NIF scripts export issues). I hope to use this thread for updates regarding this and other upcoming armors and weapons that will be included with the shop. I'll try and get the Last Resort sword and the Atronach armor retex up here later today.
Tiberiu911
I especially like the Last Ressort armor. The other one is nice as well, but not exactly my style. I see you have tallent and potential to become a rather succesful 3d artist. I am taking that road as well, since 3d artits are in demand these days. Perhaps one day I may descrifer the chinesse behind 3d editing and hope to create something of similar quality.

It's a tremendous amount of work, but I think it's very worth it. If Tiberiu or anyone else wants a good Blender tutorial that's a little easier to read than Noob to Pro, pm me with your email address and I'll send you the zip of a word file. I can't openly host it because it's from a Computer Sciences class and may be coprighted by the professor. I'm not sure, since I copied it from online. Sea Dragon Cuirass now has pauldrons: http://sickleyieldmods.ufrealms.net/minipauldrons.jpg Larger version: http://sickleyieldmods.ufrealms.net/seapauldrons.jpg And here's the Last Resort sword: http://sickleyieldmods.ufrealms.net/sword.jpg
SickleYield
Sea Dragon with greaves and boots. These boots are my best new UV maps ever and are totally from scratch, not adapted from a game mesh. I might create a tutorial with the method, since making a good UV map is difficult and almost nobody has good tutorials for it. Tell me about it... I must of spent 4 hours looking for a decent tutorial to UV map my mesh. I found afew good ones but blender didnt let me export it as a nif ><. I love how Sea Dragon looks. It truly gives a character a royaulty look :). As for the sword, I dont think it looks super good. The blades texture looks like plastic. I think the hilt would look better if it where a little bigger. However, the mesh itself is excellent, like your other work. Are you going to make gloves for the Sea Dragon? I prefer a more opulent/fantasy and less historical look to my armor, so that's what I make. Yes, there will be gauntlets, but they're going to be sort of a chain/wristlet/armlet look. I'm modeling them now, but it's going to take a little while because of the complexity involved (chains have a lot of vertices; that's why the necklaces in the game have that weird round look). I definitely still have a ways to go with making new swords from scratch. I keep practicing, maybe I'll get better. ;) I don't paint textures from scratch, I cobble them together with combined painting and cutpasting from free photobased textures I find online. I'm not a great original artist, but I can do GIMP alchemy pretty well. I have a big fat tutorial for that over on the CS Wiki: Detailed Texturing Guide The trouble right now is that there are tons of "rusty pitted metal" textures available online, but almost zero "smooth shiny metal" ones that can be used for a sword blade. Maybe I'll see what I can do with messing around with Bethesda's. The hilt isn't supergood either, because at this point I didn't know how to UV map from scratch yet. I've mostly figured it out, though it takes a while. Here's a relevant tutorial section on the Wiki that I just added tonight: UV Mapping Part of Swordmaking Tutorial
SickleYield
Chain bracers: http://sickleyieldmods.ufrealms.net/bracers.jpg http://sickleyieldmods.ufrealms.net/bracerf.jpg Good grief, these were an absolute bear to weight paint. Abramul
Quite awesome. Do they behave like chains? (On the arm, or on the ground) P.S. If you're not entirely commited to another project, you might want to stop by http://tamriel-rebuilt.org

If you're not entirely commited to another project, you might want to stop by http://tamriel-rebuilt.org Thanks. :) No, they don't, because you can't physic equipped armor (at least so far no one's got a method). Half-painting them to the pelvis or spine would look absolutely awful because of the number and arrangement of vertices - I'm convinced that's why there are no chain meshes on Oblivion default armor, only in the environment where they can be havoked. Unfortunately this means they must cling flat to the arm and fists. Tamriel Rebuilt... I don't do huge projects. I can barely keep track of my own. :) I spent an entire evening making those bracers, and they are one piece of armor for one suit of armor for one mod that contains at minimum FIVE sets of brand new meshes. Tiberiu911
Not bad. I didnt expect them to look like that. I was expecting... well bracers with chain texture. But never CHAIN bracers! Good job, dont stop :), the meshes look wonderfull. At least you can see them in Nifskope (Im having a bit of trouble with that). Eager to see next meshes.
