monster10888
I've just re-downloaded Skyrim and a ton of mods and I can't start the game. Whenever I try to launch I get the error Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: TESV.exe Application Version: 1.9.32.0 Application Timestamp: 51437ce5 Fault Module Name: StackHash_0a9e Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00000000 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt When the game first installed I ran just the launcher to get passed Steam's first time setup, but never ran the game. I then downloaded a bunch of mods and installed them, along with SKSE. Tried running the game, and this error. I deselected a few mods to try and find the problem, same error. Deselected every mod, same thing. I uninstalled every modTried running the game through the launcherTried running the game through SKSEVerified the cacheTried running as AdminRan TESedit Nothing worked and I still get this error. I would really prefer not to download the game (again) because my internet is slow and it took about 3 days to download. Any help is appreciated. Purr4me
reset folder and file permissions, that's a windows permission flaw, the system has locked you out...prevents the game from running.

monster10888
No problem. I'm going to update my graphics driver and see if that does anything. Edit: It did nothing. Edited April 16, 2015 by monster10888
monster10888
Ok, I fixed it. I had Evolve running in the background and that's what caused this. Also if anyone else comes to this thread looking for answers I read that any OC software like MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision also causes this. Sammygodz
Thanks for your help monster, I've been trying for an hour to work out why Skyrim wouldn't boot, reinstalling all mods, tes5edit, LOOT and it turns out it's because I have afterburner running...
