help me resume lost game

I lost my Saved Game files long ago. I want to come back to Fallout 3 and play a couple of the expansions I didn't get a chance to before. However, I work full time and don't have all the time in the world to start all over.

 

Is there any Mod that lets you create a character that starts at level 20, lets me distribute all the skill points and essentially recreate the character I lost?

 

If not, what is the alternative? I looked at Saved Game downloads but they all seem to be simple saved games that take place right after Vault 101 just to save people the first 20 min of the game.

Are you sure you have completely lost your original game? Check in the save game location.

C:\users\your user name\My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\saves

 

This is not removed when you uninstall the game. - unless you specifically removed it, When you reinstall, it will be available again.

 

As Fallout3 is a completely non linear game, just having a character at level 20 would not have the same set of quests completed, and not have the same perks, stats or abilities as your original, would not have the same fame or infamy with the various factions. And may not be the same gender - in other words, a completely different game. Then we get into what mods were used for the new character vs what mods were used with your original and you have a whole new bucket of worms.

 

If you are willing to settle for that, I'm sure someone will be glad to post their level 20 character for you to play.

I understand. I am looking for a Saved Game that takes place after the finishing of the Main Quest in Fallout 3, the completion of the Anchorage and Pitt expansions. But not yet far into the Broken Steel quests, or beyond Level 20, and not yet started the Point Lookout expansion.

 

I don't really care about Mothership Zeta.

 

Also prefer a character with strong Lockpicking, Small Guns, Repair and Energy Weapon skills.

 

Also prefer a male character

I'm not sure I could make a char for you since I have a lil over a hundred mods installed, some not very stable. So if I made it, it would probably conflict with your game/crash for not having the same mods as mine. (edit - I just re-read that you need Anchorage and the Pitt expansions done, which I can't do as I have not even gotten there yet)

 

If I had to do that myself, I would try getting to a certain point with console commands. For example you can finish quests automatically and level yourself up in the console.

 

Have you tried typing GetQuestCompleted in the console? I have not used it, but It is supposed to finish whatever quest you are currently locked onto with your Pipboy.

 

And you can use codes to find the XP you need to level up and then give yourself that XP. This way you can choose your own favorite stats and perks.

 

getXPfornextlevel - displays xp needed for next level

 

rewardxp xxx - Replace xxx with the number of experience points to receive

 

That's all the ideas I can think of atm :)
