Zer0Suii
Hello, community. I rarely get on the forums and it's been a while since I've done much relating to Oblivion because I was sucked away from the world in an online game (Not WoW, but that doesn't matter.) Today my question is is adding Magic Effects possible? Instead of having Frost, Fire, and Shock be your only elements, would it be possible to add more? And if so, do they have to be in the Magic Effects database, or elsewhere? I'd personally like to be able to create things like Earth/Ground damage and other elements, if possible. While I'm at it, is there a spell that will permanently decrease the maximum amount of HP your character has? I know you can damage skills, so I was hoping there would be something that would affect health too, such as a powerful spell that would grant you immense strength and/or speed for a short time but at the cost of your permanent life or something that would majorly affect you. Thanks!
Golden Oriole
Yes, its possible but requires some advanced scripting. Midas magic spells add all kinds of elements.
grmblf
Now it's possible to add new spell effects, not faking them with scripts, thanks to Oblivion Magic Extender. I haven't had time yet to test it myself but this stuff looks very promising. There's people already talking about a common library of user-made spell effects in Cobl to share spell effects across several mods... and I really encourage this idea! I'd ask you if you don't mind keep me/us informed about your progression on this matter, I'm really interested on it.

My Oblivion GOTY just came in the mail, so it's time to have some fun!
