MagdalenaDwojniak
Greetings, I stumbled upon a very nice mod today - "Ferelden Elves": http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/3674/. I followed the instructions by installing the requirements first, then installing the mod, "Optional Non-Branded Tranquil" and "Zevran V2 New Skin". Everything seemed fine so far. Then I casually looked up the file "em_genfl_zevran.mor" as I learned there must be one file like that. And poof! There are two. They got installed from "Elf Update" and "Ferelden Elves" (http://social.bioware.com/project/4483/). They are, respectively, in: C:\Users\Magda&Amber\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\da2_elf\da2_elf-morphs\morph-global\C:\Users\Magda&Amber\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\Zevran 2.0\ It is very strange and I'm worried of conflicts. Can someone try to help me tell which one should be removed? The folder where "Ferelden Elves" went is C:\Users\Magda&Amber\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\toolsetexport\ (there is a folder called "Ferelden Elves" inside, it is the one from the zip). According to the instruction, I did everything correctly. The part about removing folders from "Elf Update" is just those few lines: Open the elf update “da2_elf-morphs” folder and delete the following folders:morph-brecilian forestmorph-denerimmorph-origin_citymorph-origin_dalishmorph-origin_noble The file for Zevran is in "morph-global"... What would you do if you were me? I want just this second version: http://static-6.nexusmods.com/15/mods/140/images/3674-2-1362376903.jpg - the one uploaded as an additional file "Zevran V2 New Skin". Sorry if I am silly... My game is DAO for PC from Origin, running on Lenovo Y530. Tell me if you need any additional information. Thanks in advance.
theskymoves
If you have two MOR files for the same NPC, the game won't use either of them and will instead use the vanilla morph. Just remove the one you don't want from your override. Edited April 17, 2015 by theskymoves
MagdalenaDwojniak
Thank you, my saviour! You seem to be helping every hopeless soul like me, I'm very grateful :D. Just which one...? Oh, well. Maybe I could try removing the one from morph-global? After all, the zip "Zevran V2 New Skin" contains just files from Zevran 2.0 :|. EDIT1: I think that's what I'm going to do tomorrow. I found a screenshot of the morph Zevran got in Elf Update (http://forum.bioware.com/topic/245930-da3-elves-how-would-you-like-them-to-look-like-with-new-poll-regarding-da2-elves-or-dao/page-9). I think I should try to see if moving the folders out of my DAO directory (so that the game can't find them, but I'll keep a backup) makes the other version step into working. I understand Zevran's going to ambush us after travelling anywhere but to the camp after finishing any of the four faction quests, right? EDIT2: It works! To everyone interested in having a version of Zevran from "Ferelden Elves" instead of the one from "Elf Update", do as I did and backup the file "em_genfl_zevran.mor" from ...Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\da2_elf\da2_elf-morphs\morph-global\ somewhere outside DAO's directory - you should have the correct morph then. The results on the highest settings below . I don't want to force anyone into loading the files, especially since they also happen to accidentally feature the fabled magical bosom of Wynne (blame a mod), Sten visibly wanting to kick Zev and Shartan, Melisandre's dog, just looking for another landmark to show his dominance - and then probably tumble in it),so I'll just drop the link to my MediaFire folder for those interested. Go here (http://www.mediafire.com/?lo8skqfp7xc9l) and you should be able to see everything. PS The clothes are from here.
