JebeTheGreat
So it has come to my attention, that in Skyrim, there's really only two ways to tackle obstacles. Getting violent and swinging your mace or spells all over the place, or just trying to sneak your way through. Talk is cheap in Skyrim. It might get you a slighlty better deal from time to time and or avoid brawling with a bard, but not much else. Like, what if when the hired thugs come, you could just talk your way out of it? Or maybe you're really cheap and don't want to spend 10 gold on a bed for the night, so you seduce the bartender in giving you a free night's sleep. Just the smallest things could be handled through a sufficient ability in speechcraft. I'm not expecting one to be able to just persuade Alduin in leaving Tamriel alone, but maybe you could befriend a prison guard into letting you out. This mod wouldn't necessarily be made to make the game easier, but to give you another way to handle things and to make a speech focused character a possibility. reyzark
with the thu'um oriented speech skill trees this whould be an interesting way to play, lets just hope then.
notmyhome
Someone only recently posted Immersive Speechcraft. I haven't tried it yet but it does sound useful. Also there's Treebalance - Speechcraft which adds the combat ability to yield. Yet another mod allowed you to pardon enemies via speechcraft check, but I can't remember the name.
