Controller won't work w/ Skyrim

Hey guys,

I recently wanted to start playing Skyrim again, except this time with my PS4 Dualshock Controller. So, I connected the PS4 Dualshock Controller to my PC using InputMapper, and it works fine. I can use the touchpad on it to move the mouse cursor around, so I know it's working. I started up Skyrim, went into the Gameplay options, and enabled Xbox 360 Controller. That's where the problem is. The controller just won't work now, and worse, my mouse cursor is gone and I can no longer press Esc to bring up the menu. Any advice on how to:

a.) get my mouse and keyboard working on Skyrim again

b.) get the controller to start working
