nwc12345
Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to modding Oblivion, and while I think I've got the basics there is a problem to which I cannot find the solution.I installed a few extra Oblivion mods today, using OBMM (to create omods), BOSS and Wrye Bash (for the Bashed Patch). However, when I started the Oblivion launcher the message about hardware detection and video settings appeared (which comes up upon first installation of Oblivion - for me it doesn't recognise the hardware and so defaults to medium video settings). So I went ahead and launched, changed the video settings to what I usually use, and restarted Oblivion. When I brought up the launcher, the hardware detection message didn't appear, so it seemed to be fine, but then when I reached the main menu the resolution had again reverted to the default medium settings. This is the problem. I tried deactivating the mods that I had installed (after the installation of which the problem had started), changing the video settings and restarting, but again they went back to medium settings. I have searched for a solution online, not comprehensively, but to the extent that I decided to post on this forum to find one. So please, could anyone help? I will be happy to provide any information such as the mods I have installed, BOSS load order etc, so please instruct me to do so if needed. Cheers :)
Balagor
Do you change your settings in game, or in the start up console. Some times the start up console does not work for me either. Try to change the settings in game.Next, what does your Oblivion.ini read? You can change the settings there too.Don´t know if it helps. Just some tips. Thanks for the advice, but I've solved this problem through another forum. Cheers though, the solution was related to what you said :)
