Salona
Well, I have played dragon age about 20 time through, if not more. And alothough it is my favourite game, it is starting to get a little.... flat. Any suggestions to liven up the game? Or in general any great mods out there that I should use? Thanks x ~Your wannabe Grey Warden.~~ Salona.
Thandal
Here ya' go! Several people's recommendations. Mine own list is the 3rd post, but several different perspectives here: "Good Mods (opinions)".

RustyBlade
The mods in that list are six months old and while many are still useful the list doesn't include many of the great new mods out there. We now have Dragon Age Dark Times ACT I which is a must have mod. The list was made before my Dragon Age Kids mod was a snicker in the back of my head. If you really want a list though, the best one is The Top 100 Most Endorsed Files of All Time and then follow that with the Most Endorsed Mods of the Last Two Months. Happy modding

The two he mentions are more like "modules" that drop into the game and create a new playing experience ("DA Kids" is more a change in tone, than in substance, but it sure is different! ) The lists in the older thread contain more in the way of "modifications" to the existing game, but which leave the "story" content unchanged. (Not that there weren't any mentions of "Ser Culllen", for example, and other community-developed "content".)
Zmierzchoswit
Dragon Age Overhaul http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=832 Great mod, still in develop. Changes many aspects in game, some of them aren't mentioned in descriptiton. It makes game diffrent, harder and more challenging. I'm surprised that is only one mod that change gameplay in still develop. There is so many textures, missions... however no mod that change gameplay. There is so many textures, missions... however no mod that change gameplay. There are several that change game-play, although maybe not to the extent this mod attempts to do. For greater difficulty, give this a try: "slinks s3 RAVAge", or for better use of some abilities, etc. ("Rock Barrage", anyone?): "DA Rules Fixpack", is one of my favs. And "Qwinn's Unoffical Fixpack" (not available on Nexus, see the BSN) makes several changes that improve gameplay by correcting mistakes that rendered some things inoperable. Edited December 22, 2010 by Thandal
Zmierzchoswit
Thanx for rep.slinks s3 RAVAge sounds good, I will try this, do you try to merge this mods, what mods combinations do you play?. Howewer, these mods look like patches, compared to Overhaul. Mod, that I'm talking about, makes game more...finesse? For eg. This mod makes rouge important person of a team, traps, backstabing and ambushes, have more profits, another one, some additional bonuses and penalties in armor, that make sense in using light armor, medium etc., even different enemy needs different weapons to hit them properly, attributes are changed.... I'm talking on that type of mod, there is no other like this. This is strange, this type of mod has +18 endorsements only. I have feeling, that mod scene in DA is full of kids, that like only new look, another romanse or maybe new scenario, but no new chellenge in battle. This game was easy from the beginning and will until the end. Way that DA2 seems to go confirms my supposition, this is game for kids. DA community seems to be closer to Sims from EA, then old cRPG from Bioware, I know what I'm saying, my girlfriend is Sims and DA fan, but no BG for eg. ;)Sorry for outtop, but i must say that ;P... and sorry for my bad english. Thandal
Well, eveyone has their own preferences. Many of the things that you mention the Overhaul "fixing", others don't think were "broken". Since I usually play a Rogue, I know the most about those skills. Traps (detecting/disarming, AND using), Stealth, Backstabbing, etc. all start ourt relatively weak, but get incredibly powerful as you gain in XP and improve them. One can't be excellent at everything at once, and choices have to be made. I presume the same is true for all the other talent trees. From the description it sounds to me like someone wanted to improve the basic abilities at the start, and compensated in game difficulty by reducing the damage done across-the-board. Which is an approach that has a certain internal elegance and obviously appeals to some, but others find the current balance acceptable as well. Chacun à son goût. Zmierzchoswit
I know that not everyone have, to like this type of mods, fix something that looks good may look stragne, but... something could be better. This often happens, society complicated game to, surprisingly, make the game more enjoyable, like in HL (counter strike), Civ, TW, or from Nexus F3 - FWE. I'm always waiting for this type of mods, end that type of mods are wery popular, but not in DA, this is strange. I don't want more reality from fantasy game, I want new chellenge, new feel of the game, real new feel, no new textures, or sex scenes ;) redruM in Overhaul try to do that, some tried also, but those mods are in the process of dying (among those who You mentioned) or died, before we saw anything concrete.Great games have their own big mods. I't sounds more complicated when you play this mod.I know "others" like simplifications not complications. But not for that people makes mods, I think ;) movie from this mod or similar
