radioactivmufin Posted December 20, 2010 Share Posted December 20, 2010 After downloading FOOK, FOMM,desert ranger combat armor installing new vegas for the first time on my 6 core brand new computer It had signifigant slowdons every 5 seconds or so,Where its slower than crysis on high when on medium setting,I would apprciate some help on this matter please. Just because the computer has multiple processors that doesn't mean the program, in this case a game will use all of them if it does not have multi thread capability programmed into the game. secksegai Posted December 20, 2010 Share Posted December 20, 2010 FO3/FONV do have threaded options, the question is do those options actually utilize those cores optimally. As for your slowdown, assuming you're fully patched, you'll probably want to check up on the d3d9.dll replacement fix most people have been using to deal with slowdowns.
