DAOMASTER
Alright, so, I've made the basic structure of the manor, consisting of 2 floors in the "facade" along with side "homes" an "escape route" leading to the caverns, a few buildings within the caverns, the mane estate located in the central home within the cavern, 3 floors with 2 wings each for the main estate, and have summed the whole damn thing into being a retreat for the sunlight hating bastards we all love. A few issues I've noted are in this: Vampires are dificult npc's to make, as what I've done is used the faction instead of actual vampires, they don't have very many vampirish voices within Oblivion which will work well with the npc's made, so non-vampire npc's had to be created, using the vampire-like npc's for the races already made for enemy encounters. I have a few problems here and there, landscaping gets pissy with me and doesn't want to save after a few minutes of me tinkering about. All in all, when it is done, I should be done within a month maybe, I do have a job and family I have to socialize with. I know no one is actually in the knowledge of this mod, since when I first begged for help no one responded to my plees, but then again I am self teaching myself how to do this and though it is stressing and taxing on myself, it is extremely fun. Maybe when I make it public it might go viral, who knows, I would like for someone experienced at making quests to possibly hit me up and ask to help, quests would be great as well as some better vampire npc's. Anyway, if anyone is interested in helping me, I'll write up a description of what I'm doing and give you a better idea, more heads are better than one sort of speak, and this mod is kinda a dream of mine, having always wondered it myself. Summary: Vampires of Oblivion have always enthralled me, being that they are cold and bloodthirsty and turn to ash in the sun's wake, but in truth vampires are supposed to have a more structured society about them, usually in the form of a coven. I was thinking that possibly one might have existed within Tamriel, but to no avail. Sure there is the random vampire infested cave or ruins and, yes, it does my lifeless body good to see them all together...but it is a killjoy that as I run to the with open arms with words of "brotherhood" and "family" spilling from my lips like crimson taint, they charge with weapons drawn in hopes to end my naivety. So, in order to make this game feel more "homely" to the damned of the bunch, I have set out to create a city for the blood sucking bastards. But where could a city exist out in the open, surely not anywhere under the sky, the sun would decimate them to piles of ash and bone, so where could they be lurking? An old fortress? The sewers beneath Imperial City? Ayleid ruins? No, these were too obvious to use and so I set it into my head that there was a house, somewhere, which had a route to the vamps, and so came about Shadhelm Manor, the home of the Shadhelm Bloodline, a prestige of Dunmer and Altmer cross-bloods who reside in Cheydinhal. And so, the dream has become reality, the home is made, the vamps are...more or less...finished and friendly to you, and the whole place belongs to you, the player, however...such a happy story deserves pain and suffering and possibly more effort towards getting the manor... ...so now I ask unto you, my peers, to give aid and advice towards what should be done. I appreciate all advice given as necesary and constructive even in the criticism-like way you may possibly deliver.
