After buying a new pc (I7-930 2.8GHZ 1366, GPU: HD5850 1GB HDMI) I have the opportunity to restart oblivion and include mods that were too demanding when I was playing from my old laptop. Also, my experience with vanilla oblivion has made me realize which aspects of the game I don't quite like and now I would be interested in finding ways to improve them.

I did my research and I came up with lists of mods that address the following issues:

1. enhancing the visuals of oblivion

2. correcting annoying things

3. adding immersion

I would like you to take a look at such lists and either help me expand them or recommend other mods if you think there are better alternatives.

1. Enhancing visuals:

Qarls Texture Pack III Full v1_3

Natural Environments

Unique Landscapes

Animated Window Lighting System and Chimneys

ImpeREAL empire: unique castles

Real Lava: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6854

Armor and clothing redone v 2.2: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27414

McMuffins' Firevall textures: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8819

2. Correcting annoying things:

I found mainly three:

a. lack of variaty when it comes to enemies/armors

b. the levelling system

c. the unrealistic basis under which the "economy" works in oblivion (i.e. merchants having a fixed amount of gold etc)

My solutions are:

a. Francesco's leveled creatures/items + new items/creatures add-on

b. Oblivion XP

c. Living Economy

3. Immersion

Darnified UI

Realistic Physics and Force Package

Near-miss magic and arrows alert the target: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16150

Better quality magic SFX: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16150

Midas Magic

The last mods (should) indicate that I want to play as a ranger that relies on spells and a bow. I have one question here; if I would like to play in 3rd person, is there any camera mod that: 1) allows it while not diminishing my accuracy and 2) does not get rid of the 1st person view?

I would also want to ask of quest mods similar to "the lost spires" or "glenvar castle". I enjoyed those dungeons a lot and would like to know if there are similar things out there.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post!

Tiny Lampe.
