Zansion
Hey everyone, this is my first post here on the Nexus Forums, and I thank you in advance for your help. I'm quite new to Oblivion mods and I've had a few problems getting mods to work. I'll run you through what I've done so far. (I'm running Windows 7 x64) I recently re-installed my OS, so I had to start anew. First, I installed the game and played for a while. It would always crash after start up and I fixed this easily by running it as administrator. After playing for a little while, I downloaded all of the old mods I remembered using back when I played a while ago. There we're about 25. I manually installed these mods. As soon as I ran oblivion, it would crash. I disabled all of the mod data files and the game ran again. I tried each of the mods individually, they all worked. But when I combined the mods - any of them, so long as there we're more than two - the game would crash. I deleted "data", and replaced it with the back-up I made when I first installed the game. Now, I decided to use the Oblivion Mod Manager, to keep things simpler. I downloaded about seven mods and I have them sorted neatly in a folder in My Documents. I opened Oblivion Mod manager, it tells me I need to run it as an administrator so I do as such. I now see two lists, and buttons on the right as well as bottom of the window. In the first list, there is only "Oblivion.esm" which is checked as it should be. I clicked "Create" --> "Add folder" --> "omod convertion data" --> "OK", however, nothing happens. I thought that this was the correct procedure for making a .omod file, correct me if I am wrong. Neither "Add files" or "Add archive" allow me to select the conversion data, so I have ignored them. Can anyone help me fix my problem? I'm a newer modder so I may need a bit more instruction than the usual. Again, thank you for your time.
