Walley7
I've done a bit of searching in numerous places and I'm having no luck finding any mods which allow more quickbar bindings than the default 10 (which is severely limited, forcing you to have to manually click a lot of slots - yech!). Do none exist, or are they simply under some strange title? I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could point the way to one if it exists. It seems strange to me that one wouldn't, as I would have expected it to be a fairly simple modification and a pretty highly desired one... Thandal
Welcome, Walley! Search for "Quick", and you'll find four different mods, including this one: "Advanced Quickbar". There are some game-engine-imposed limitations on how DA use the Quckslots, so you'll have to see what you think best. (Oh, and the "10 Slot" limitation is easily broken. Left-Click-n-Hold on the bottom right corner of the Quickslot Bar, then draaaaag it out to the right! )
Walley7
Hey, thanks for the reply but afraid that wasn't what I meant :P. What I'm after is having more hot keys on the keyboard bound to slots in the quickbar, for which there doesn't seem to be any mod (that I can find). Out of the box you can only have the first 10 slots bound, even though you can expand the quickbar to have plenty more slots. Does the engine keep it from being possible to add any more in a mod? P.S. I should have said it more explicitly to be honest, I thought I had but on re-reading my original post I can see I didn't make it clear that I meant keyboard bindings. Elrandhir
Anyone actually need more, you just drag the bar out and have more then enough, and when you can paus the game it's not like you need to have qbinds to everything :P If you had to do everything in realtime, without paus option, then I would understand, but as it is now, well it may save some time and thats it. Walley7
Just makes the game feel more clunky I guess - I'm used to having everything at my fingertips as a former WoW player :(. But yeah, it's not the end of the world either ;).
RustyBlade
If you use the Advanced quickbar that Thandal pointed you to and set two of the hot keys to up and down it will give you quick access to a total of 36 hot keyed slots (not counting the eight slots used for up and down.) FollowTheGourd
About the original question: It's an engine limitation as far as I can tell, so you probably won't see any mods to do exactly as you asked. I'd be pleasantly surprised though if somebody figured out a way (a doubtful long shot is to edit the KeyBindings.ini file, add more ActivateQuickslot_*, and see with a modified UI if it at least gets notified when they're pressed) - it's just that the UI doesn't normally intercept keystrokes except where it's covering the screen - but then that would interfere with the game. So the quickbar gets the hotkey presses in a different way that seems to rely on the game engine itself.
