crippled idle and walking animation while weapon is out

I just somehow noticed this myself last night too, and it was bugging the hell out of me. I'll play around with the geck a bit tonight and see if I can figure anything out, but I'm far from a professional at modding.

I never really paid attention to it, but you won't be solving it through the geck.....it's all about the animations. You'd have to have new kfs for all the current attack/combat ones (and there are a *lot*).

Ooops just realized I didn't convey that very well. Not the actual attacks but teh animation weapon types (for instance crippled while having a two handed melee weapon out, crippled while having a one handed pistol out, etc) while moving and in a crippled state.

just the idle and walking animations. the same ones as without the weapon, attacking and such should be the same as the default non-crippled animations. new animations don't need to be made

Nope, just as I detailed above, if your walking with a weapon out whether that's one hand (for a pistol) or two hands (for a rifle, meleee etc) that's a change to the crippled animation. You can't just use the crippled animation and "tack on" the arms, it's a new kf.

It probably should be tested before i can say for certain but It seems to work just fine.

 

That said i don't have the time to make the anims needed as much as I'd like to, but it's nice to know it's possible at least.
