temnix
I'd like to have all Bosmer in my game to use the black eyes from capucine's mod. Anyone know a way to do that other than change each and every Bosmer by hand?
Abramul
I think you can switch the eyes the race is set to use, but I don't know if it'll automatically switch existing eyes. Let me do a walkthrough thingie, and you can see whether they switch or not. Start up the CS, and load Oblivion.esm and the mod you want the eyes from. You could just add a new eye ---using the meshes, but if you wanted to release it, you'd have to get specific permission.I'm using the reanimate eyes, just select the one you want to use instead. From the Character pulldown, open both the Eyes menu and the Race menu.In the Race menu, click on WoodElf in the left column.Select the Body Data tab.Drag the eye you want from the Eyes menu into the Eye Colors column of the Body Data tab.To delete the previous eyes, click on each, and hit DEL.Hit the "OK" button. Now, lets see if it replaced the previous NPC eyes. In the Object window, open Actors\NPC\WoodElf.Click once on the word "WoodElf".Double-click on any of the existing NPCs to open it.In the eyes pulldown, it says NONE. Don't touch this.Select the Face tab. You may have to hit the right-button a few times. Now you see that it has, in fact, replaced the eyes, even though you didn't actually select them. So, you can ---proceed to in-game testing. Incidentally, the Reanimate eyes are pretty much just black. You might want to just use them, and not have a dependency. If someone who's actually seen them in-game could comment on whether this looks ok, that would be appreciated. P.S. Those beady black eyes are one of the things that creeped me out with MW's Bosmer...
temnix
For now I'm just looking to change the Bosmer in my own game, so no permission required. I will try your walkthrough!
