boogibogie
This guy has had the eyelid bug, and fixed it by using head mesh from ECE: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1964049-unsolvable-mod-issue-eyeliners-and-racemenu/ My problem is kinda different. I have the custom mesh, but for some reason some NPCs are not using it. All vanilla and DLC NPCs have bugged eyelids, but mod-added NPCs (for example added by requiem, vanilla races) are fine. Custom race characters are fine. PC is fine, even if PC is vanilla race. Also, if I use setrace command to change the race of a vanilla NPC, the NPC will get a dark face, but the eyelid problem will be solved. I think the shape of the head is different after using setrace. I could be wrong, need some notably different-looking head mesh to know for sure. The only difference I find between vanilla and DLC NPCs and other characters is that, vanilla and DLC NPCs have their mesh data stored in bsa files. Therefore, I suspect that the cause to this is that somehow the game keeps loading the vanilla head mesh (or chargen data) in the bsa files. FYI, I am using custom chargen data for vanilla NPCs, and I can see that they look different (so vanilla chargen data is overrided?). For most of the NPCs, with or without the chargen data, the bug is still there. However, if the chargen data is done wrong and the NPC gets the dark face, the eyelid problem is gone. wtflol. So, is there any way to confirm this? Any way to make NPCs use the custom mesh? Thanks in advance
boogibogie
UPDATE! I replaced the custom head mesh with feet mesh (No you dont have feet on your face, you simply have no face. Not as funny as I expected) and confirmed that before using setrace, vanilla NPCs keep using vanilla head mesh! Any idea on how to make them use custom mesh? boogibogie
update again.. Just did a clean install of skyrim. No mods, put in only the loose mesh + texture, no good. So I figured maybe it's the INI. Deleted and regenerated the INIs, still no good... I noticed that all other replacement meshes load just fine, body, hair, weapon armor, all except femalehead.nif. Honestly can't figure out what's so special about my computer lol. Can anyone help? I even unpacked skyrim - meshes.bsa, replaced the mesh and repacked.... There should be no vanilla mesh left on my hard drive, but the game STILL somehow manages to load vanilla mesh aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Edited April 26, 2015 by boogibogie
