The entire Steam Community, http://steamcommunity.com/ , has been taken down. Interesting.

That doesn't look like it was taken down so much as it had a momentary overload of it's servers. Probably back up in a few hours.

It will be interesting to see what comes back up when it does...uuhhh...come back up. I was wondering if they were going to leave up all the negative (in thier eyes) threads and posts regarding the new way they are doing things and the way they just dropped it like a game busting bomb on all of us. If the forums are purged of anti-pay-for-mods content we'll know if it was a deliberate shut down or if it had to due with server overload.

 

And as I am still troubleshooting games that "broke" after all their changes, I hope it's back up soon.

Whatever the cause, this is going to draw the attention of a lot of people who may have, somehow, been unaware of the paid-for mod controversy. Everyone who uses steam community is going to stop and wonder what's going on.
