this poll isn't meant to make you look bad or anything so i put the "why do you care?" so it could be a way of telling me its none of my business. but to tell you the truth I'm a male of course playing with a Female. this poll is a curious on so i am sorry if my curiosity is increasingly high :P but anyway pleas vote. I'm a dude and I play with both. when i first bought the 360 version, i started as a male character modeled after my looks. most of my subsequent playthroughs I usually play as a female to get the other side of the coin if you will. I'm all about variety on my spice rack :P Edited by MadMax08

I am a guy but somehow I always end up playing tough but beautiful chicks in Fallout and TES games: they are much more interesting to look at + there is a ton of mods available with *coughs* attractive appearance and clothing options.

The strange thing is that in all the online games I have played, I always preferred males for immersion sake; WoW, GW, Lotro, AOC, WAR, EVE, Fallen Earth: all males. But I have yet to play longer than 15 minutes with a male in Oblivion / FO3 / FONV before I am appalled by their animations and stereotype bulkiness. While a gamebrio female in leather armor doing the normal walk animation is always a sight to behold ;-)

I'm a male playing as a male. It's harder to be immersed while playing as a completely different gender

That makes sense to me. I am now thinking that is probably why I play a guy first time around: for immersion.

Second time around is to do things differently and goof around. Although, I still couldn't bring myself to help Cobb and the gangers...they are just too pathetic.

I'm female and both my first playthroughs have also been with females, but I do plan a future Energy Weapon oriented character to be male. For me it's more about character building than my own gender; I can play either just fine.
