Daiyus
I've got a fair amount of experience in modding Skyrim, but GTA is a completely new beast so I've got no idea what is possible and what isn't. The only mod that I really, REALLY want to see for GTA5 is one that allows the three protagonists in single-player to be able to use the garage, mechanic, tracker, and insurance functionalities of the Online game. Even just using the standard four slot garages would be fine; just some way to save cars and bikes without the fear of losing them when you do a mission. Maybe as a bonus making all the cars and bikes purchasable through the in-game internet would be nice too. Does anyone with experience know if this is possible? Well about call someone, there nobody configured out how to do it (as i know). About saving vehicles you can use lua mod called "Szabo's Persistance Mod" allows you save x count of cars anywhere! Also if you want modding gta 5 yourself, the best way it's start learning lua (if you dont know it), also need lua plugin, if you want you lua mod work! There two i know first it's "LUA Plugin for Script Hook V", second it's "GTALua" (i dont really know difference, between them). Also if you want, write asi scripts, you need to know C++ or C# if you write script for .NET ScriptHook.
spiritbx
A bit late, but I second OP here, currently you can buy a million dollar car, spend hundreds of thousands pimping it up only to lose it because you went on a mission or it got destroyed. the 48 min impound destruction seems a bit harsh, maybe it could buy an upgrade on a car that could automatically deduct a small amount from your bank and spawn the car in you garage when destroyed. The mechanic seems like a good idea too, I feel stupid having to steal shitty cars when I have a really good one waiting for me at home. hopefully someone could see that there is a demand for this mod and implement this in a "Better Storage" or some kind of general improvements mod. Daiyus
Sorry I haven't checked this thread lately, I thought it was dead. I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants this. W2nTeD, thanks for the tips. If I find any spare time I'll look into it.
SgtWhatsHisName
This...this needs to be now.... or in words EVERYONE will understand....http://www.quickmeme.com/img/d7/d7f2e6d71155b5e067f4f72abd02f31569e99de763416493425b726da4be4d75.jpg litterly the only reason ive been playing the online is the cars. THE ONLY REASON. i have 3 10 car garages filled with fully modded out (yes i did the damn racing s#*!) and i would love to be doing that in single player. but no, you cant insure anything in that.
