CommanderCrazy
Hey all. I found a pretty good deal on the above mentioned card, and have a couple of questions.1 - What power connectors will I need?2 - What power draw does it have at peak?Just want to clear those up to make sure I don't need a new Power Supply as well. Erik005
Okay. 1: a six pin connectors. 2: it needs a 500w powersupply. max powerdraw is 127w 3: Is this the model with the twin fan cooler? If not please don't get a reference card there are very good 6850's out there. These are the models you should consider: Gigabyte GV-R685D5-1GDGigabyte GV-R685OC-1GD very good overclockXFX : HD-685X-ZDFC just stunning a little loud though. CommanderCrazy
Yes, it does have the twin fan cooler. It's cost is $299AU, so it's not too bad, and I can pay an extra $10 for the shop to overclock it for me.
urbex
Why not get a 6950 for the same price and unlock it to a 6970?

CommanderCrazy
Nah, EVGA put a massive heatsink in (Basically the whole case is a heatsink) and really optimised the fan.I haven't got over 45 Celcius running 3dMark.
