fstwunk
Hey guys! I've made a shield with a bearhead simbol on it, because of the west weald I thought it's a suitable icon for the colovian army :)You can use it if you want, or let me know if I can help you with retexturing. http://tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/306868-1293971423.jpghttp://tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/306868-1293971487.jpg Edited January 2, 2011 by fstwunk

It's too transparent imo, I couldnt make it out that easy. Try making it a bit darker so it stands out more? That's just my opinion ofc. :L
danielj97
Right, Here's what I've worked out for the texturing so far, just want to check it's right before I start up GIMP. :L (Im quoting Scorch's post for reference. ;)) Bravil troops, in raggedy and worn armor, covered in mud, blood and dirt...Some perhaps adorned thier armor with leaves and grass for camoflauge.cos they're so underfunded they rely on guerilla tactics(mentioned before) Should be easy enough. I'll use their vanilla cuirass just retextured to fit this. I'll think about the camoflage bit a bit later on. Chorrol Troops with lots of equipment stahsed in thier armor, like backpacks and spare weapons on thier belts...because They are located in mountainous terrain so I imagined they would need hiking gear etc. I've got the backpacks sorted: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6422Spare Weapons on their belts: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26688And, I'll do some work on their armour, to make it look more 'hike-friendly' Leyawin with light armor, like leather and wellington type boots, because its so swampy, along with a facemask to cover thier mouths and noses from mud and swampwater. For this I was thinking, leather armor with Leyawin insignia, and retextured glass boots so that they look 'leathery'. Now, the facemask. That's quite a thinker, after a bit of searching I found this; http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10775 (Go into the user uploaded images and look at the last pic in the first line).Anvil...Anvil might be a little hard...But Im thinking light skirmisher armor, because the army is filled with redguards, and redguards are known for speed and battle prowess...Think along the lines of Mongols and Huns...with less fur. Well, I think I'll wait and see what design Scorch comes up with before I do this one. Skingrad, As one of the wealthiest towns in Cyrodill they can afford heavy armor, and good quality weapons...So polished steel and lots of red sashes and ornaments...so think Noble knights... How about Jerros' & LHammond's Lost Paladins of the Divines armor, just retextured? (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10505) (and I'm on about this armor set from it; http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/10505-1190663174.jpg) Bruma...Easy Fur,fur and more fur...hippies will hate me for this but they need it...So what Im thinking Iron\chainmail with fur collar and big bulky armor, which looks like its stuffed with insulation... How about, fur boots, greaves and cuirass, and the rest is chainmail. Ofc, I'll retexture it so it has Bruma Logo on it?Order of the Dragon/Your troops...Thinking either legion armor or chainmail adorned with dragon insignia...Maybe for initiates or squires we have chainmail similair to city guard armor, and have main colour black with yellow or gold trimmings, then have steel armor similar colour scheme for higher ranks...and thats all I have planned.. For this I'll do legion armor with dragon insignia, and black / dark as a main colour and gold trimmings. I'll make the insignia gold also. And for the initiates / squires you mentioned, maybe city guard armor with dragon insignia? With main colour black with gold trimmings (like you mentioned). So, what'd you think? I'll go and start with textures just now, so remember and tell me quickly please! Edited January 2, 2011 by danielj97

danielj97
So far, I've done Chorrol, Bravil and Leyawin. And, they've turned out quite good, (: I'll show you screenies later.
danielj97
Right Screenies! :D Skingrad: http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt91/DanielJ97/Oblivion2011-01-0218-20-41-82.png Ignore the fire! >.> It was just me testing something. :L Also note; I didn't make this armor, it's from LHammonds and Jerros's Lost Paladins of the Divines! Chorrol: http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt91/DanielJ97/Oblivion2011-01-0218-20-48-03.png Toolbelts didn't show up, but the bag did. I quite like it. (: Leyawin: http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt91/DanielJ97/Oblivion2011-01-0218-20-52-23.png The boot's went a bit wrong... 'Cause their a glass boot retexture, they still have the shiny-ness. I'll get rid of that. ;) Player Army / Imperial Army: http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt91/DanielJ97/Oblivion2011-01-0218-20-59-04.png Has two ranks Squire and Knight. Seperate armour for both. Bruma: http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt91/DanielJ97/Oblivion2011-01-0218-21-01-40.png Bravil: http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt91/DanielJ97/Oblivion2011-01-0218-35-02-51.png I'm most proud of this one tbh. Every bit of armour, has a bloody stain and mud stain. Tbh up close it looks quite smart. (: Edited January 2, 2011 by danielj97
nwnicwilli
Good job, but the Leyawiin boots need to be fixed like you said. And personally I don't really like the armor for it either. I was thinking something more Aquatic for Leyawiin. Like rebreathers for non-Argonians. Scuba-suit's without the gear for Argonians to be more sleek in the water, etc.
