nisen
see 2nd post - basically want help to sort out this annoying glitch that often starts up outside, seems to be associated with loading up a save game, either autosave or manual Edited December 29, 2010 by nisen
nisen
if anyone can help, ive noticed once started, itll allways turn off temporarily when theres another background sound file, like going into a building where theres mood sounds, or in building with other people/creatures, and during conversations/barter and once it also stopped right after conversation outside, so somehow that disabled it aswell, but first time ive noticed that assume audios the first thing to load from a save game so would explain why it first starts on the loading screen. Its a 5050 chance it starts from any save game, and when its started usually very persistent, but ive not tried to confirm if it will go away after continually reloading a save game after restarting the game (but just reloading one with the game still open does nothing) also a better description is a ticking/poping sound like static reverb once every second thanks for any help Edited December 29, 2010 by nisen
prandiningrat
It's looks like, a problem with DirectShow Runtime. try to updating your directx, and reinstall your audio driver(you must restart PC after remove before reinstall)..also, you can check your system what program that use codec.. nisen
if you mean something in the graphics drivers, could be a possible suspect. Somehow I messed up the driver update last week, forgetting to first uninstall ccc before updating it and after the update, it didnt return the screen to normal, and a popup said 'no Ati drivers are installed, please install them...' but they were installed in device manager and working properly !?! then I noticed Oblivion wanted to set the graphics setting even lower than the previous driver version and in the game itself, the colors where were super saturated flurescent, so I had to revert to the preinstalled drivers for the card to get back to normal on that. sortof over Oblivion now, so just decided to try reinstalling ccc for the 50th time running Fallout3 if it fixes the noise, and or messes the colors. Got the same message about no drivers installed.. still cant figure that, but doesnt fix the noise, or mess the colors >< btw ive since noticed the noise is a lot more random than described, it can start and stop at any time and does also happens indoors, but for the most part the indoor noise is different, quiter, and a couple places its gauranteed to start. So is it more than likely an issue with my software/drivers than the game itself? Edited December 31, 2010 by nisen
prandiningrat
So is it more than likely an issue with my software/drivers than the game itself? That's possible. I mean you should try to install/upgrade drirectX in my post above, not graphic driver. You dont need to uninstall ati cc, that program required to configure your graphic setting.and not related with your problem..
