devinpatterson
I have a lot of mods I'm loading because I want to keep the custom weapons I'v taken in them. But I was wondering if I could go into geck load up a esp extract out the cool weapons or armor in them and merge them into a myweapon.esp. Then I could do some house keeping and delete a ton of mods.
TBGT
Try this thread, Its for merging Mods using FNVEidt. FNVEdit Be warned though failing to follow the instructions may cause unwanted loss of data in those mods. Best to back up mods somewhere safe first. So long as you carefully follow the step by step you should be fine.

This exactly what I was looking for, now I don't have to have a half dozen mods all trying to change the same locations, or a billion esps in my data folder. Thanks I really appreciate it! devinpatterson
Dang, merging via fnvedit doesn't remove any of the content. It's just like a pointer, all the mods still load up. What I'v started doing is stripping out all of the non item info (just about everything except misc item, weapons, armor and their effects) and loading those up. Seems to be a good solution. I get to keep my treasure/items, but it doesn't affect any of the rest of the game world. So I don't have a dozen coflicting mods in goodsprings anymore. Rage912
Theres an easier way to do it and it works quick. All you do is go into FOMM and click >Tools>Tesnip. Once your in Tesnip all you do is click>File>New and then click File>Open and then go to your FONV data folder and then click the ESP you want to merge and get rid of. Once you did that it get very simple. All you do is Highlight GRUP(Sound),(WEAP),(ENCH),(ARMO),(ARMA),(PROJ),(TXST),(AMMO),(STAT), and (CONT) and click on options>Copy. Then you click on Option>Paste on you new plugin ESP. When you open your ESP it most likely will not have all of those but those are the main ones you should port to your ESP. I did this for almost every weapons mod on FO3 and FONV. It took me forever thought since there are like 20000000 mods lol. Good luck. If you need anymore explination just ask and I'll help Edited January 7, 2011 by Rage912

Usually I just beat a game and move on. Guess the fallout series have a special place in my heart. Thanks Rage912

Rage912
Oh yah one more thing I forgot to say when you try that. When you load it in the GECK you hvae to change the IDs or costomize all the modded weapons if you want them to show up in game. What I mean by costomize is just click on it and change the damage or sound then exit it than open it again then change it back
