WastelandAssassin Posted December 28, 2010 Share Posted December 28, 2010 ok, so i'll assume that you are referring to the player home in Megatonbut just in case, i'll also write the name of the Ten Penny home cell, so you can add the item there as well now, before you start, i would recommend you make a back up of the plugin, because you will make the changes on that plugin (i think it's best to change it, and not make a new plugin)after you have done this, launch the GECK, and give it some time to load in the top menu, click on File -> Data and check the Fallout3.esm, and then find the plugin that has the pistol, click on it (it should have an x in the box beside it), and then click on the Set as Active File button (the status of the plugin should now be Active)then click OK, and let the GECK launchnow, it might seem like the GECK is stuck or frozen, but it's actually loading, so don't quit itjust give it some time, and it should load properly now, you should see 3 windowsthe large one on the left side is titles Object Windowin it, there is a listclick on Items -> Weapon -> weapons -> 1HandPistolyou should now see a list of all handguns in the game (all the weapons that use the 1handpistol animation)in this list, you need to find the correct pistol (if you scroll to the right, you should see the Name tab, use that to find the correct pistol) now, to find the cellin the right side of the screen, the lower window is called Cell Viewin the list there, click on M, and find the Cell with the EditorID MegatonPlayerHouse, and double click on this cell (again, give it some time, for the cell to load) now, in the upper window on the left, you will see the Megaton player house (it will have all the upgrades there, so keep that in mind)then you need to navigate yourself around this cell, and find a spot where you want to put the gunShift and move the mouse to rotate the view, mouse wheel to zoom, and click the mouse wheel to drag the view point once you have found where you want to put the gun, just drag it from the list, and drop it into the render windowyou will now see the gun inside the render windownow, to move the gun, i would recommend using the three axis systemclick X and drag the gun, to move it on the X axis, and the same for the other two axisestry it around a bit, to get a feel on how to do it rightthen, when you are happy with the place, save the file, and it should be good to go :) and like i said, if you want to add this to the Tenpenny suite, the EditorID is Tenpenny03Player hope this is easy enough to follow, and that it'll work properly for yougood luck :thumbsup: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
