Dhel
Hey! I downloaded some addons for my DAO today..Namely "MMaP Armors", "MetaGame Items", Unviersal Dye Kit", and the Natural Bodies All in one pack. Now after i set them up and entered the game, the arms have a weird white "silk" on them..and theyre a bit off too..here's a picture:http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/5886/screenshot2010122621354.jpg Does anyone know why this could be? i tried to change settings on the Natural Bodies addon, and de-activating/de-installing the addons, but that didnt help.. thanks in advance, dhel Edited December 26, 2010 by Dhel
naomis8329
you need to look at the override folder and look for arm meshes these seem to be off by the look of it. Did you check the readme and description to see what the mod needed with regard to textures and meshes etc. Have downloaded but not installed this mod myself so the only thing I can think of is that the arm meshes/textures are not correct. I'll take a look and see if I can ascertain anything else. Let me know if this helps.
Thandal
For all DA body models, the "hands" are the part of the model that looks "off" in your screenie, (mid-forearm on down.) What "Hands" did you choose for Human Males in Natural Bodies?
Dhel
What "Hands" did you choose for Human Males in Natural Bodies? It was set to "MH Muscular Hand Size"..but it seems, no matter what i choose, theyre all off..When i take off the armour, it looks good, but as soon as i take it on, its like this..Is there a way to "extract" the original Arms in "inject" them into the armour? Thandal
Once you're using non-standard body models, things aren't so simple. "Hands" and "legs" are just labels for the same things as "gloves" and "boots" for the game. Getting the pieces from different "sets" (vanilla this, modded that) to align depends on how exact/lucky the modder was. And the problem is particularly difficult with skin tones, since there's also the tint and specular maps to coordinate and the potential for so many mismatches depending on how much of the character is covered by what. Since I don't recognize the "armor" in your screenshot, I presume it's also a mod. Remove NB and see if it aligns with the "original" hands any better. My guess is that you'll just have a slightly different "wrong" look. [Edit: In case you didn't already know it, and unlike in some other games, (e.g. Oblivion) in Dragon Age things are not "worn". There is no underlying body model over which armour or clothes are "applied". Those things REPLACE the particular body model part (torso, or forearms/hands, or calves/feet) with the new "piece".] [Edit 2: Interesting note long these lines, "helmets", "caps", "cowls" and "hair" are all the same model element to the game. One replaces the other as you equip or unequip anything on the head. Which why you can get some clipping with the ears (especially for elves) when you choose certain hairstyles.]
