kert349
What do you think of this idea that I've been working for some days now. You as player begun your own Faction like brotherhood of steel and hire new recruits, gear them and train them, to make them ready for the missions you decide to take. The player has his own base where you can assign your soldiers to training (they also gain XP from missions and level up) and enter new missions.Once you choose mission you will be taken to the mission area. There is no traveling nor exteriors like vegas wasteland but just interiors atm. Also it's suposed to be played with new character so that there is lot of challange. And you cant enter the vegas world because you would get too much good gear too easily from there. For your base and squad you can hire medics, snipers and basic grunts. Also for your base you can hire doctor to heal soldiers after they return from the mission. And a chef.. What do you think? Jagermh
For your base and squad you can hire medics, snipers and basic grunts. might lag up game having too many NPC followers and imagine entering an interior cell with them
Interfer0
I love the idea, it sounds like something I would play. Your troops don't necessarily need to be companions. Especially if each mission has a base of operations, and you would go back and forth with the people you need. It reminds me a lot of the turn base UFO game series. You could also look into making the entire thing a Virtual Reality Simulation within the game. When the player is transported into that world, it uses the same script as the BoS one to strip you of all your gear entering the world. This way it won't need to be a completely new game to play. VaultPi
sure let me recruit all the Great Khans and fiends get really fast horses, rifles and teach the NCR and the Legion the true meaning of "Manuver Warfare" would I have to change my character's name to Temunjin (male) or Bortai (female) too? VaultPi
now while the american indians were very, very good at mobility warfare, I was refering to the original masters of the art, the ones that the great khans are named after, the ones that are the inspiration for the post apocalyptic "Horseclans" series. Temunjin and his wife Bortai, or as we call him Gengis Khan. come on, catapulting glowing ghouls over someone fort walls, traveling and shooting or throwing spears from the back of a horse, or a dune buggy. basically deneying your opponenet to ability to fight you except on your terms.
