Deacon87
Hello all, newbie here. Just started out messing with the console commands, but I wanted to add some guards or watchmen to one of my houses. Trouble is, when I spawn an NPC at my player, they never stick around, they make their way back to their own area. For example spawning Gallows the Brotherhood of Steel member just makes him walk out the door and trek on foot back to the Citadel. Is there a command to make a targetted cloned NPC stay put, or even patrol around inside my estate without them leaving? And preferably keep them away from my storage chests so they don't steal anything I might have stashed? Any suggestions, ideas or even a recommended guide to point me in the right direction would be very helpful. Thanks very much in advance.

viking99
the problem probably lies within the ai package. if you copy a npc make sure you delete all original ai packages. after you have done that create a sandbox package(to play standard animations)you could also add the smoker faction under factions(like jericho). give the npc some food and drink to play eating animations.uncheck the sleeping animation. for sleeping and patroling set a travel or patrol package and set it to happen at a certain time of day. this makes your guards more lifelike. if you need further help i reccomend the geck tutorial about packages good luck. ps. since new vegas was recently released and uses almost the same geck you could try the new vegas mod talk instead that forum has higher activity.
