[RELZ] Champions of Light (BETA)

This mod is for players who miss playing traditional Paladins and Priests, with powers appropriate to those roles. Only use this mod if you wish to play one of these types.

You must start a new game. If you want to play a Paladin type character, choose The Eyes of Manwë Birthsign. If you want to play a spell casting servant of the gods, choose The Hand of Varda Birthsign. Then look for all spells in your list prefixed with “CoL”.

Champions of Light characters have unique spells which target undead and all other unholy creatures, repelling or damaging them (via scripts).

Please open the README to get more details.

As this is the BETA release, you should not download this if you are new to Oblivion or to CRPGs with modding utilities. I am looking for feedback to ensure this mod is clean/fully functional by veterans here on these forms.

I will say from the start that I do not have the time to expand this idea into the many avenues I'd love to personally explore: a guild of holy warriors, quests, magic armour and swords. Once this mod has been proven to be stable, then others may use CoL to expand on it.

What are you doing to offset the advantages? Something that would make sense, although I don't know if it would actually work, would be setting the player's responsibility to 100, causing them to report their own crimes. This might also cause a first strike, even against a bandit/marauder, to be considered a crime...which also makes some sense, as sneak attacks are 'dishonorable'.

That's interesting. I would like a way to tie a character's morality into this, but know very little of the scrpting required to accomplish it.
