Welcome pitoguitar!

While you don't say so, I would presume you are using other body mods besides the armour in question. Certain combinations require that you go through a fairly elaborate process of putting-on and taking-off in an area OTHER than Camp in order to get them to display correctly. Among the the known causes of this behavior are the "Universal Dye Kit", and NV4's "Potion of Transformation" in conjunction with some mods. Others include "Leliana's SA Armour", and some variations on Morrigan's Robes.

Hiyas Pito :)

Let me also welcome you to the nexus :)

Most likely cause of what is happening is that you're trying to put the armor on a race that it doesnt have a model for.

Humans, Elves, and Dwarves all have a completely different body model. Armor has to have a version made for Human, Elf, or Dwarf, or else it will cause an issue like what you are describing. For instance, up until somebody created an elf female mesh for it, Morrigan's robes would result in nothing but a floating head, if you tried to put her robes on an elf or dwarf character, since it was only created with a human model originally. (tho I dont think that anybody every made a dwarf version of it...anyway....)

Most likely the problem is caused by conflicting mods. I have a few gigs worth of mods in both addin and override and most of those are robes and armour. many were installed over a year ago and have been superceded by other mods which accomplish the same goal. There are three or four very great armour mods which do sometimes fight each other. The ones that I have noticed are; Adriangi's "Mord Sith", hsli's "Sexy Mage Robes", Thor's "Black Widow/Dancer" and Oldwolf's (?) "Dressed Like a Pro". These conflicts are most noticeable in light armours and mage robes. I have reached a sort of equalibrium in which I can show most of hsli's gear (but never the "Arcane Warrior" and almost all of "Dressed Like a Pro", all of "Dall's Gear 10" and (thankfully) all of Thor's "Dancers" and "Widows" (with the fine and rational Fonglee variant). While the armour on my party are fine, the look of some that I meet are sometimes unusual. In the Dalish camp. for instance, the leather armour worn by some of the hunters is very odd. Their leather may be skirt in part and pants in part and of varied colors (there is often a difference in breast size, left to right, as well). The robes worn by Zathrian's Second were even more bizarre. Some parts were "Tevinter Mage" some parts were "Mithra" and some bits were invisible. The whole getup was clownish but did improve greatly when I cleaned out some of the earliest armour mods from the override.

There may be more potential conflicts also. DA:O seems to be in dubious balance at times and certain additions can have strange effects.... even if they seem to be totally unrelated.

If someone in Denerim sneezes, Mischa the Hoarder will not speak to me when I return to camp.

Best thing to do is experiment and, if all fails, enjoy the armours that you CAN see.

Ahhh I see. Yeah, I've had issues with some of HSLI's mods as well. I believe that the problem is due to remapped textures for the vanilla armors, that the custom armors rely on.

You can TRY selling the "issue" armors to a vendor and then buy them back from said merchant to try to make them update, but this may or may not work in this case.

Other than that, most likely removing hsli's mod may be your only recourse :(

We try to help out when we can :)

But thanks very much for the appreciation :)
