FCOM Troubleshooting - CTD after new game cinematic

Hey Gents,

 

Thanks for the help in advance. I am a newbie to FCOM; and its been an interesting/exciting/fun/frustrating couple of days trying to get all these mods installed in the correct order etc, unfortunately I need help with some troubleshooting.

 

I have GOTY edition (with SI/NoN), running on windows 7 X64, 6 GB ram, Quad-core CPU, and ATI Radeon 5800 series card; vanilla GOTY works fine.

Where do I go from here to start troubleshooting this? I used Wrye Bash/Boss (to do the ordering)/OMM (for OMOD installs).

 

I installed MMM/OOO/FCOM via OMOD, but the rest were self-installers.

Hey Guys,

 

If go into Data Files/Mods, and uncheck the BASH script; the game loads, and I can play untill I try and leave the sewers. Then it Crashes to Desktop.

 

I also re-enabled everything (like the Wyre Bash order), and used OBSE; stll crashes after new game emperor cinatematic.

Just a wild guess but try deactivating these and see if it still crashes:

BTW, are you using any body replacer meshes or otherwise?

Hey rgx02,

 

Deactivating those from the data files menu :/ still no luck; CTD after New game cinmatic still. The interesting thing is that if I deactivate the bashed patch in the data files menu; I can do a new game all the up to the exit of the sewers! then it crashes :)

 

No im not using any body replace meshers (that I know of), except for what is installed with these mods.

Since deactivating your Bashed Patch allows the game to load you know the problem is related to your Bashed Patch. You have obviously imported something that you should not have, or you imported something that requires a master (another mod) that you don't have installed. Resulting in immediate crash. You need to go through the options within the Bashed Patch and select them more carefully to ensure you're properly selecting the correct options. There's plenty of documentation out there that covers this type of information, I suggest you do your research. I'll point you in the right direction however. Start with the Wrye Bash Pictorial Guide for Newbies then head on over to TESIV:POSItive.

I have followed the newbie guide when I set it up, I will head over to TESIV:POSItive to keep looking. I followed the FCOM guides to the letter, as well as installing all the MODS in order; and followed all the guides as best as possible :) Ill keep looking thought!
