burger1113 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I had a standard Origin cd that I bought when it first came out, but I seemed to have lost it somehow, so I bought the ultimate edition via Steam few days ago, and I can't get the console working at all. Is it because it's a whole new game compared to the other versions...? I tried some trainers from gamecopyworld just to see if it's the game's version, and the 1.04 trainers didn't do anything at all, so... anyone got an answer for me? Much appreciated for your time, guys.

Thandal Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Others have reported difficulty getting the Console to activate inside the Steam version. Are you sure you've edited the shotcut's command line entry correctly to account for where Steam places things? I don't use Steam for anything (if I can help it) so I'm not sure of the exact changes you'd have to make to either the command line or the key-bindings. :confused: Maybe someone who uses this version and has had success can reply?
h0lyc0w Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 The only method that worked for me to get the console on Steam version of UE was to add 'argument="-enabledeveloperconsole"' to the DAOriginsLauncher.xml (as described in Dragon Age Wiki Console). All other suggested methods did not work.

I was looking in the folders the mods go in trying to find it.Just to be clear it's the one in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dragon age ultimate edition\data
