Adding a leveled item list...

To a vendor. How would I go about this? Basically, I want to create something similar to the Gun Runners Vendortron, but for a different NPC. Can anyone give me some help with this? If it's a very long process to explain, then you can PM me.

the process itself shouldn't be too hard, but it's rather long (or so it seems to me)

 

first, you need to create the vendor

after your NPC is a proper vendor, you can start customizing the list of item he sells

 

one thing you should know, is how to add items to vendor

i would suggest using the container version, as this way you can make it leveled, and respawn (like a true vendor)

 

as for actually creating the leveled list of items, this seems like you need to create a list inside a list inside a list (or so it was for the Vendotron)

 

i can't really tell you how to do this, as it really depends on what items you want the vendor to have, and at which levels

but i can direct you to what you need to look at, to figure it out (and it shouldn't be hard to figure out)

 

in the GECK, go Items -> Leveled Item

then in the filter, right gunrunner

this will show you only the leveled items used by the Gun Runners

 

open the GunRunnersHQStoreGuns for instance, and look at how it's built, and how the sub-leveled lists it has are done, and their sub-leveled lists

 

if you have a more specific question, i may be able to give you a better advice or answer

but i really believe that if you look at the specific things i mentioned, you should find it easy to figure out

Thanks for the help, I was actually trying to edit an exsisting vendor, but through following your instructions, I found she already had an item list, so I guess I just change that. Thanks!

in fact, i'm glad i have seen this question

this is another answer i wouldn't have, if i wasn't trying to find it for you

so now i can actually create my own vendors, which i will probably do, if i ever get to make a mod
