Super Mutant Playable Race ANIMATIONS

Hey. I have recently installed a mod that allows you to play as a Super Mutant however two things that have bugged me are: 1) The Walk/run animations. 2) The forearms and hands are too small. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way that allowed me to change the way my character walks/runs to match that of a super mutant's. And also if I can somehow change the size of the hands/forearms. Thanks for any help

If I remember correctly, this was covered in the mod thread when the mod was first released. I believe what is preventing what you are asking for from happening is due to the differences between the Supermutant and Player skeletons, both First Person and Third Person. All of the animations (.kf files) are connected to the skeleton.nif files and are not interchangeable between the different skeleton.nifs. Getting the Supermutant player model to move like a Supermutant would require someone completely redoing all of the Supermutant animations for the Player skeleton. I am not sure if there are any animators on the Nexus that want to take on that work load, but I could be wrong.

 

Regarding the discrepancy in size for the forearms/hands, I think that is also connected to the Player skeletons, especially the First Person skeleton. For the animations to work correctly with the arms, I think the meshes had to be resized to fit the skeleton to prevent any strange visual glitches. The only way I can see to change that, would be for someone to make new Player skeletons with the appropriate animations. As I have limited experience with the tools needed to accomplish this, I am not certain that it can be done, even if someone wanted to take on that challenge. Again, I could be wrong.
