Trouble Equipping gun, red/white exclamation over player

Hello, im haveing problems equipping downloaded guns for fallout from the gun runners when i go to equip them no gun appears in my hand but a red square with a white exclamation mark comes over my head and dosent go till i deselect it can any one help me solve this problem thanks very much :)

very simple

it's either you installed the mod wrong, or you didn't use Archive Invalidation

the red box is a sign for missing meshes, and the two reasons i mentioned are the likely causes for it (at least one of the two)

so make sure to do both, and it should fix the problem

both options are related to you having missing meshes

 

now, do you have Archive Invalidation??

if not, then you need to use this

 

are you sure that you have installed the mod correctly??

check the file structure, and make sure that you have placed all folders in the right place (or you could use the fomod installation, if you think it's a better option, but this really depends on you)

 

which one do you need explaining about??

the only thing i have done is put the .esp file into the data and ticked but the download did however come with meshes and texture files but i left them out :/ and sorry about the other reply i messed it up.

I have done it by moveing the textures and meshes folder over thanks so much for your help :) for future ones would i have to make a new textures and meshes folder(S) or could i put them itnto the same folder ?thanks again

you can't have more than one folder with the same name, at the same place

so yes, you need to put all files into the same meshes folder (same for any other folder), or if you copy the whole folder, just merge them (work just fine for me)
