chaoscobra123
Hey guys, I am running OBGE Max settings, OBSE, Bananasplit Better cities, Oscuros's Oblivion Overhaul, Quarl's Texture Pack, Natural Environments, Sky Cycling mod, Realistic Weather, and I was thinking about downloading Deadly Reflex. I know these are very FPS heavy mods, but my Rig has Intel i5 icore quadcore 3570 processorZotac ZT GeForce GTX 970 video CardCorsair Vengeance 16 GB RAMAsrock Motherboard *If need any more info on parts let me know* I'm trying to hit at least 60 FPS on this, would this be reasonable? I was thinking about downloading the mod that extends Oblivion to 64 bit
postal001
Are you already running those mods without Deadly Reflex?

Jaythelord
Yes, that should be plenty good. I'm running an i5-4590, GTX 760, and only 8GB of RAM and I'm not getting any performance issues. You should be plenty good :D
bben46
I think what you are talking about is the 4G patch. Oblivion is a 32 bit program, and cannot be made into a 64 bit game - not without reprogramming the entire thing, which is not going to happen. The 4G patch does allow the game to use a little more ram. But still only a max of around 3.5G. It does this by allowing you to offload any other programs that are running in the background, and the Windows itself into any ram you have over that first 4G that a 32 bit program can use. Then it changes a setting that Microsoft put in for every program that limited RAM use to a maximum of just 2G. At the time, not many computers had 2G of ram, so it didn't matter. By changing that setting, a 32 bit program can use more than the 2G limit imposed by Microsoft. But a 32 bit program can still use only up to a maximum of 4G ( less some that is used by the BIOS that cannot be moved) It can make a big difference in the game.
