rakuin79
Ive looked all around and can seem to find a simple mod that just takes the vanilla green combat armor and makes a unique version with effects added. Im not comfortable yet with the geck but i was thinking about giving the armor a custom name in a location that is tough but not brutal and giving the armor special specs. Was thinking of reducing the weight slighty, increasing damage resistance, and perhaps adding ap points, carry weight, etc etc. Just wanted something unique because i find myself liking the look of this armor. Anyone willing to help? Thanks
LtRhapthorn
For now, I'd just recommend creating your own Unique Combat Armor, not placing it until you get more comfortable with the G.E.C.K. Firstly, I assume you know how to open the G.E.C.K. and load FalloutNV.esm. http://i56.tinypic.com/mvmg7d.jpg You need to find the base item called "ArmorCombat" in the GECK window. http://i56.tinypic.com/10ehb4k.jpg Double click it, and this window will pop up. In the Highlighted box, you need to change the name from ArmorCombat to something like ArmorCombatMine, so you can easily find it. You can also edit weight, DT, and such in this window, I'll leave you to experiment. http://i56.tinypic.com/wtefb5.jpg Click OK on the window. This box will pop-up. You want to click yes. You then need to create an object effect. http://i53.tinypic.com/e88tuf.jpg Open the object effects list, right click the list, and select "New" http://i54.tinypic.com/awfpz.jpg This window will pop-up. Give you effect and ID, and the "Name" box is what will show in the effect screen of the pip-boy. Right click the table and select "New" http://i53.tinypic.com/vimj4j.jpg Say you wanted your armor to add AP. Click the drop down on the first box, and find, "IncreaseActionPoints". Leave all other boxes alone, other than Magnitude, which you will set to the value you want. http://i51.tinypic.com/sq175t.jpg You then need to go back to your new armor, and find this object effect. Select it, then click OK. http://i53.tinypic.com/2a6kxvk.jpg You then need to click the save button, where you will name your file, and save it. From there, it's the simple process of ticking it on your FOMM. By default, all new entries in plugins have the item code xx000ade, where xx is the position in your load order. Go in game, open the console, and write "player.additem xx000ade 1" (without the "'s), and see if it's working. Your welcome.

victor6
Sure, I can help. There is green and black versions of the combat armor. I can also add a combat helmet that also has special attributes.I can also add a + 1 perception. I'll try to have it up and it will be under your name for tomorrow. What name do you want for it? Maybe Special forces combat armor.
