Exoclyps Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Hello everyone! So, I'm making a mod that adds a tavern. However I've got an issue with a few of the chairs placed in this mod. The NPC's using them is getting stuck in a sit/stand loop and will go on like that for hours. Anyone know why this is happening? I've checked with both NavMesh and location of the chairs, can't really find anything sticking out. Any help or advice anyone can share is gold worth, as I just can't release a mod that makes NPCs get stuck in a loop.
Anikma Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 What packages do they have set? They might be sandboxing with the chair been the only thing in range or meeting the requirements.
Exoclyps Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 I'm using an Eat Package. I've got like 24 chairs in total, so far I've noticed 3 chairs causing this issue while most works without problem.
Anikma Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Try using a sandbox package instead (I've never used the eat package). I have no idea what's causing the problem though, I really am stumped.
Exoclyps Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 Me too. I read about Breezehome and Lydia having similar issue being fixed in USKP 1.0. However the fix is to make the chairs owned by the player to prevent her from using it at all.I'll try replacing the bad chairs and the same time place it slightly differently to see if it fixes the issue.
fore Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 What furniture types are making problems? Check their keywords in the CK. Keywords define which animations is used to enter and exit. Maybe it's possible to find some hints from there.
Exoclyps Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 I'm using the NobleChair02RL, witch seems to not have any keywords, and NobleTableLongBench02 with the "IsTable" keyword. Some chairs work, but so far one does not. I've yet to have time to try replace it though I'm afraid, will do that later today. The table on the other hand, the "faulty" one actually got 3 out of 4 animations properly working.
sLoPpYdOtBiGhOlE Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 It's not just chairs I've seen this happen with. I've had it happen with Wall Lean markers, same where the actor enters the wall lean and exits the wall lean over and over.Almost like they are sliding in and out of the wall lean when entering and exiting.By coincidence it was in an inn (Makarth) when I saw it happening. Leave the cell and came back later and it wasn't happening.Hung around for a while and it started happening again. When it started happening it was like a switch got flicked on and it started again.By that i mean everyone in the inn seemed like they all reevaluated their ai packages at the same time, like a brief hiccup. Didn't seem to be just one thing I could put my finger on that caused it.
Exoclyps Posted May 13, 2015 Author Posted May 13, 2015 (edited) So seems to be an vanilla bug somewhere that causes idle-markers to not function properly at times. I tried moved them around a bit more and hopefully that fixes the issue. I've yet to see an NPC use them yet. Edit: Now I think I've got some other ones getting messed up. Fun fun stuffs. Think I'll need to do some extensive work on this to make sure it won't bug them up, as they can stay around for hours trying to finish up the package. Might be the "Always Complete" that I've now unticked (pending testing). I'll keep ya all posted with what I come up with :D Edited May 13, 2015 by Exoclyps
