Tooooon
Hey there, I recently have downloaded Oblivion via a retail copy I bought a while ago, and have updated it to the latest patch and also installed the following mods: Darnified UI, Deadly Reflex Combat Moves , Francesco's armor + levelled creatures + optional news items and creatures, Harvest Flora, Midas Magic Spells of Aurium, Toggle-able Quantity Prompt, BOSS, Capes and Cloaks, Elven Map Redux, House Map Markers, Natural Environments, Quest Award Leveller, and the Unofficial Patch. Also I have Windows 7. Now when clicking either "Play" from the Oblivion Menu, or try launching Oblivion directly, as well as from obse_loader.exe, a small bios looking script box which looks empty comes up for a split second, then disappears, and then nothing whatsoever happens. I have no idea how I can test what the problem is, what I can do to fix it, etc... Any idea what the problem may be and how to fix it?
bben46
Most likely: You installed a bunch of mods without testing anything and are now paying the price. Possible quick fix: BOSS http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20516Not a mod so be sure to read the instructions Longer and more positive fix Bben's Oblivion Revert to Vanilla gamehttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=340Again, not a mod, but instructions on how to take your game back to vanilla - no mods installed - so you can install them one at a time to find which one(s) are the problem. Tooooon
Was a stupid newbie mistake on my part, it was that there were mods for expansions I didn't have, so it ended up making oblivion not working in general.
