superstickfight
Ive been working on a mod and its been going pretty well except that what is supposed to be a vast desert appears to be small squares of sand heres a screenshot http://img375.imageshack.us/i/oblivion201012301927044.png the landscape cuts off in the near distance, I have my graphics set to ultra high, I generated the LOD for the worldspace and I made sure that the rest of the land does exist, and I still have the problem, (only in my worldspace not cyrodiil) Thank you for your time-Samuel
Megatarius
That picture doesn't show anything weird. Is there supposed to be hills or dunes in the distance? If your problem is what I think it is, it's common. You need to use TES4Gecko to "move worldspaces" to the master index. To be honest, I'm not sure what that means, but it works. Just make sure you check off Insert Worldspace Placeholders, or your land will become corrupt and all go to level 0. Before you do it, back up your LOD land and textures or you'll have to generate it again. Also, did you generate the color maps for the land, or just the normal maps? Because that could be a reason why it doesn't show up too. The heightmap editor does not generate the color maps. If you did generate the color maps, I hope you didn't use the CS to do it cell by cell. TES4qLOD is the why to go with color maps. It does it all in five minutes. It's all about using 3rd party tools instead of the CS whenever you can.

Thanks, Ive got the LOD to appear (finally) but now, Everything is all pink, I tried using tes4qlod to generate the textures for the LOD but still no luck, I think it's because the textures Im using (different than in the screenshot) are custom and I dont have the 4x4 BMP versions of those textures in the "tes4qlod_tex" Directory, any Idea how to get those made/ put in the directory? heres a screenshot of what it looks like nowhttp://img607.imageshack.us/i/oblivion201101021800578.png/ Edited January 3, 2011 by superstickfight
