Can't Wait or Sleep, Getting Different Messages Why Indoors vs. Outdoors

I've come across a rather strange problem. I recently started a new game and originally I was able to wait and sleep with no problem. However, for seemingly no reason (I'm sure there is one and I just don't know what it is), the game no longer allows me to wait or sleep. I've tried using TAI and TCAI to disable the AI in case it was because the game thought I was in combat, but that didn't help. If I try to wait inside, I receive a message in the upper-left that says "Better not. I'm only going to get myself caught by doing that." If I try to wait outside, I receive the message "I don't have any time for that right now..." So far I've only tried sleeping in the worker's house at Mixwater Mill, but no matter which bed I try to sleep in, I don't receive a message. However, my character lays down in the bed and the screen fades to black. After a moment or two, the screen comes back and my character gets out of bed (due to Immersive Beds). It should be noted that on a new game, waiting and sleeping work normally (as it previously did on this save as well). My modlist is posted below. I appreciate any and all attempts haha.

A hopeful bump as I still can't figure this problem out.

Isn't there a mod that changes in-game messages to be from a first-person point of view? Forgot its name. Maybe it, or something badly interacting with it, is the problem?

I suppose, but I don't think any of my mods change it to the first person (though maybe Requiem does?). And even if they did, I still have no idea why either of those two messages would pop up (as opposed to some kind of real explanation why I can't wait) and Google doesn't turn up anything either.
