Weapon attachments

As is probably obvious, I'm all new to NV. And having bought a few gadgets for the Varmint rifle, I can't figure out how to put them on. Can someone please tell me how.

you have the PC version, right??

when you look at an item in the game, on the right upper side you have the R button for repair or maintain, and below it, it has the X button for modding the weapon

so click X, and then you'll have the list of usable mods, so just click on the one that you want to use

 

just so you know, there is currently no way to remove a mod from a weapon (at least not that i know of), so make sure you use what you want

also, mods that reduce the weight of items don't actually work, so you may not want to bother getting them (on the weapon, you will see that it weights less, but if you drop it and pick it up, you will see that it weights like if it didn't use the mod)

Don't feel bad, it took me over a month to figure out how to repair stuff in FO3.

yeah, you have nothing to feel bad about

these games have all too many buttons and options, so it takes time to learn them all

so just take your time, and when you play the game the second time, you'll probably know everything there is to know (or at least all the important stuff)
