anreill
So I was playing today, haven't made any mod changes in several days and haven't had any issues on this install at all. I was in Anvil getting Fighter's Guild quests and everything was fine. I then fast traveled back to Imperial City, turned around, and saw this. Not only does it look terrible but it makes my video card heat up like crazy. I didn't change any settings and can't for the life of me figure out what's causing it. I've tried toying with settings and the only thing that gets rid of it is disabling Distant LOD completely. I'm currently 30+ hours into this game and haven't had any issues up to this point, all major mods have been installed since day one and the only thing's I've installed since are armor/weapons/other trivial stuff. I haven't actually made any changes to settings, mods, load order, or anything else in three days though. This link is a screenshot showing what's going on. Distant LOD Screenshot I poked around a bit and this appears to only occur on my present save. The previous full save is from approximately six hours before and it works just fine. I've also loaded up a new character and COC moved it outside with perfectly normal DistantLOD. Unfortunately both the autosave and quicksave I made right before the problem appeared are affected by it. Any ideas on repairing this?
Smooth613
The screenshot looks to be corrupt shaders, yet you mention other saves don't have the issue. Either way I'd start by replacing the Original Oblivion Shaders and disable OBGE if you use it. Report back with the results and be sure to include your Load Order and post any/all of your OBSE plugins you use.

Thanks for the suggestion, mention of shaders got me on the right track and half an hour messing with OBGE fixed it.
