I made this just for me, but I figured what the heck, I'll release it in case anyone is interested.

 

This is just a very simple mod that adds in copies of the Argonian and Khajiit playable races with no tails. I made them shorter and stockier, because that's what I personally wanted and it makes sense given what real manx cats look like, but I also include a version wherein they look just like the game beasts (without tails). I made a small attribute change to increase strength and decrease agility, but there's an optional esp without that, either. Further explanation in the readme. Voices and textures unchanged, that's why the filesize is so small.

 

Why would anyone want tailless beasts, you ask?

 

I like to use items that occupy the tail slot, and in fact, I plan to make some soon myself. It's annoying to be playing a beast character and either have to a)not use those mods or b)have the tail suddenly disappear when an item is equipped. I also don't much like the default game Khajiit's chicken legs. :lol:

 

Also includes a copy of KT's Custom Race Fix, which belongs totally to KT and is not my idea or creation in any way but which is very necessary for new game races.

Heh. I love that cute little Argonian woman. I'll have to see if I can work some Tailless NPCs into my next mod.

I like the argonian woman too ^^. Reminds me of a character from a book I've read long ago.

 

Personally, I dont use beast characters, hence I dont need the mod. And one of the things I like about beast characters is that they have a tail.

 

But thats just my oppinion :).

Yep, like I said, it's definitely not something everyone will want. :)

 

But it took half an hour to make and it's only a ten kilobyte upload, so I figured I'd release it anyway. It's not as much that I expect it to be popular (it won't be) as that it might possibly catch the eye of one or two people with specific tastes like mine. (EDIT: Apparently I'm right. 14 people have downloaded it since last night on tessource and Elric of M vs. 137 downloads of the Cavern. So it's not popular, but it seems to have an audience.)

 

I like beasts, but I also like tail slot items. I'll be playing a stocky lil' Manx my next time through the game, and she'll be able to wear all the items I make for my next update to the Cavern. ;)

 

(Planned: Spider daedra merchant selling spider-themed weapons and armor. I'm not a furry, I'm a leggy...)
