Kultan
I'm gearing up for my second play through of DA. I'm interested in a list of mods that fix issues that the player community more or less consider bugs. Like fixing items that increase healing effects. I've also read that daggers and bows do not consider Dexterity when determining damage, as the game manual says they should. Problem is, the game is over a year old and I don't know if these things I've read about have since been fixed by official patches. So, please let me know if you have some recommendations for community created fixes. I'm playing the PC Ultimate Edition.
Thandal
Welcome, Kultan! The "DEX modifier not applied to Daggers" glitch got fixed in game patch 1.02, so with the UE you're fine! The "fixes" I recommend are: "Qwinn's DA:O Fixpack", and "DA Rules Fixpack". Most of the rest of my mods (all 2.5-3.0 GB of them! ) are appearance or dialogue mods (like: "Morrigan Restoration Patch".)
ZeRoToXiN
While on this topic, which dialogue fixes would you specifically recommend? There are a lot of them and I dont know which ones are best to use...

There are a lot of them and I dont know which ones are best to use...No such thing as "the best". Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. As I said in my post above, I use the MRP, (with the "Zevran Dialogue Fix" (ZDF) add-on made specifically to work with it.) I also have "GateKisses", which changes some of the farewell scene branches. Others use Leli, and/or Alistair fixes. With ALL the dialogue mods, be sure to read the descriptions to understand which particular files they change and which OTHER mods, (if any) can be used with them. Since they all make changes to various ".dlg" files, if two make changes to the exact same one, either only one will actually work, or the game will glitch. Riddleofsteel
Does Qwinn's fix pack for 1.03 really really work for 1.04? I've asked this before, and I keep hearing conflicting reports.

I've asked this before, and I keep hearing conflicting reports. So try it yourself! That's the only answer that means anything in this sort of situation. As with any DA mod: Make a "Named Save" before installing it, give it its own directory in your "\override" folder so it's easy to remove it if you don't like it, and PLAY! Riddleofsteel
I have tried it, a few times. I never had anything go "wrong", per se, but I know little enough about the game to be able to tell how things should actually be. At least as far as bug fixes. I asked if anyone else knew just to settle the issue for myself. I didn't mean to irritate you, I just don't know enough about the effects of the fix pack to decide whether or not I like it. If you've got it, and it isn't crashing your game, then I guess you can say "it works". If some part isn't working and you haven't noticed, then I guess it doesn't matter. (Oh, and the irritation was due to your seeming to whinge that you had asked the question before and hadn't gotten a satisfactory answer. Sure, ask once because someone may have the answer handy. That makes sense. But when when you "... keep hearing conflicting reports", then maybe it's time to become your OWN source of the answer.)
Riddleofsteel
Okay, sorry I asked. I'll try to be more self-sufficient from now on.
Razorfish
Hey, sorry to bump up an old thread here, but this seems like the right place to mention that I've started compiling a list of fan fixes, since I've been in Kultan's position before. I've written it up as a post in my bioware/dragon age fan blog, but I'm definitely open to suggestions if you know if I've missed anything. In case anyone here might find it useful:http://biowarefans.com/2011/01/dragon-age-fan-fixes/
