ell46
Since upgrading my machine and installing Win7 my screen shots are rubbish, they are darker than what I see on screen while playing the game, are there settings for screen shots I can adjust? I have had a bit of a play and taken screen shots of various web pages while surfing for a solution to the above problem and the screen shots actually seem lighter than the web pages, which is the opposite to my game screen shots, I've moved the gamma setting up and down in the game and that doesn't seem to make any difference either, now I'm at a loss as to what to try next. DarkeWolf
Heyas Ell :)bad news, there are no settings for screenshots, other than what key you can use to take them.Almost all of the screenshots are edited in a photoediting program. Partially due to the fact that DA screws up the header information and a vanilla screenshot will not show up as a thumbnail. so they have to be resaved in a photo editor, so most of us go ahead and improve the bad quality of the shot while we have it open in the editor.Sorry for bad news on this one :(Other than using a 3rd party program such as snagit, ashampoo snap, etc there's really no way around it in the game settings :( Edited January 7, 2011 by DarkeWolf
ell46
It's good to know I didn't miss anything, I hate to think I can't find and figure things out for myself. It's a shame because when I used XP the screen shots were a perfect match for colour and brightness etc, now with Win7 they are just dark. I do use colour correction in my graphic software, but they don't quite come out as good as they used to. I really don't like Win7 I hoped as time went by it would grow on me, but ugh!! DarkeWolf
yeah, I've got to admit that even with WinVista, the screenshots arent that great. Specially since a lot of times they come out kinda grainy along the edges. Not sure if it's the DA rendering engine or what.
ell46
I was so disappointed with my last game which was my first using my new set up, which was a nightmare to sort out because if I turned of the FMode I couldn't use quick save, but I could take screen shots, then if I turned the FMode on I couldn't take screen shots, I finally found I could use FMode and take screen shots if I remembered to turn off the NumLock o_O only to find that I got some amazing never had such good views of kills and the screen shots didn't work, then it happened again and got what should have been great screen shots only to find they were so dark you could barely see anything :(
