Rhaskos
I would like to change the default outfit of a large number of NPCs -- not just current followers! The mods I have found that were built to change the default outfit of NPCs have all been extremely limiting. I'm not sure if that's due to the limitations of Skyrim modding or what, but here is what I generally find wrong with mods that allow you to change the default outfit of NPCs:Can only change the default outfit for followersEFF already allows me to do this -- again, the problem is when I dismiss them. Can only change the default outfit for a certain number of NPCsI recruit a lot of NPCs from around the world, sometimes by adding them as followers via the console, to populate my huge castle -- a limited number of outfits, unless extremely large like 100, won't work for me.Requires using the CK to create a new default outfitAs I mentioned earlier, my castle is intended to hold a lot of NPCs. I have about 20, and desire about 50. I do not want to enter the CK each time I bring a new NPC to my castle, much less want to make a simple modification to an existing NPC's default outfit such as changing the cape they're wearing. What I'm not looking for:Pickpocketing equipment off of NPCs and putting equipment back into their inventoriesI can already change their inventories and default outfits with EFF -- what I need is for it to stay that way when I dismiss them.Using the console + equipitem/removeitem to change their inventoryAgain, I can already remove their default outfit and give them items with EFF -- the problem is that with their default outfit set to none they prefer to wear nothing but their undergarments over their armor while they're not a follower Here is a list of mods that I have found while scouring a variety of forums in search of a mod but that do not work for me: AFTI use EFF and AFT is not compatible with it. Additionally, I have grown to prefer menu-based follower interaction over conversation-based interaction. Unless there's a version of AFT with menu-based interaction and a way to remove the absurdly tiny limit on number of followers, I can't make the switch.Skyrim NPC EditorThis require me to open up the CK each time I bring a new NPC to my castle / want to make a minor change to an existing default outfit. As we've already established, doing so 30+ times each time I bring a new NPC to the castle is not an option.Wardrobe Editor and Pick Default Follower ArmorThese only allow the creation of 8 and 5 custom default outfits respectively -- that number is not nearly enough for the amount of NPCs I have in my castle.NPC Clothes ChangerApparently this is unstable and is known to cause crashes I know that this is extremely specific, but are there any existing mods that allow me to modify the outfits of NPCs who are not currently following me without any limitations on the number of default outfits I can change and doesn't require me to go into the CK every time I want to create a new outfit? If not, is the reason the previously mentioned mods have limitations on the number of default outfits because it's impossible to limitlessly change the default outfits of NPCs? If it's just the modder not thinking it to be necessary and it is indeed possible, that's something that I can throw together on my own then.
