I have the problem, that I dont have any random encounters with slinks s3 RAVAge mod.

 

Installation Process:

I installed the file with the installer located in the DragonAge file folder. And i added the lines

 

[RAVAge]

Difficulty=<5>

ExtraDifficulty=<5>

 

to the end of my DragonAge.ini file located under documents/.../settings. Although I find customed gear and can adjust automatic pickup and other things with the ini, the game difficulty lines seem to have no influence. Therefore the mod is functioning particularly. But I dont see additional bosses or more lieutnants! Right now I am in the castle of Redcliffe and i think that the game`s beginning curbed difficulty, as stated in the installation manual, is over.

@fini; Bumping your own thread is considered poor manners here on Nexus (but you did wait over 24 hours, which is good. :smile: )

 

Part of the porblem is that you filled most of a page with the technical dump of your .ini, which is either irrelevant for (almost all) mod conflicts, or overwhelmngly confusing for the non-technical people.

 

More useful would have been a list of OTHER mods you may have installed.

 

And if you use the [ spolier ] tag to minimize the screen space of a long list that is not going to be of interest to anyone who is not able to help you, it would also allow us to see your issue rather than having it get lost in the rest of the post.

I simply can't get this mod to work. :(

 

You can't install it using the official DAupdater.exe, which always hangs at 98% of total installation completed.

You can install it with either DAmodder or DAO Modmanager though.

 

Secondly, simply adding lines to the bottom of the DragonAge.ini file does not work:

 

[RAVAge]
Difficulty=5
ExtraDifficulty=5
(I have tried setting all the additional parameters suggested in Slink's Readme file to both 0 and 1 as well, but still no change).

 

No additional monsters. No additional difficulty ... Nothing changes. Nothing works, but apparently this mod works for almost anyone else?!

Please tell me there is some basic obvious setting that I've forgot (and tell me which one). This is doing my head in.

 

... And yes. I reainstalled Dragon Age + Awakening (retail versions) from scratch, so no other mods were installed when I re-encountered this problem.

I have tried installing both before and after installing official DAO and DAA game updates.

... And yes. I am using the correct Awakening version of Slink's S3 Ravage mod and not the DAO version.

 

It's a complete mystery to me why nothing happens, so I suspect that I need to change the document text formatting or insert hidden characters in the DragonAge.ini file.

Please help me. Awakening is incredibly boring without proper challenges. :O
