Thandal
What's your intall method (retail disc, Steam, D2D, etc.)? In some cases it makes a difference to the paths used.
gamer21fizzy
retail disk, the mod installation from Sir A says: INSTALLATION: 1) Unrar and copy "siramods_items" folder to your "<documents>/BioWare/Dragon Age/packages/core/override" directory. (IN THE ROOT OF THE OVERRIDE FOLDER, NOT ANYWHERE ELSE!) 2) Locate and run "DAOItemScanner11.exe" to search all items in your Dragon Age installation and update databases. Be sure to close the game before doing that. 3) Launch the game and type in console (for console information look in NOTES section): i put the folder in my override folder but the DAOitemscanner doesn't work :(

I don't have any idea where/how you would make the correction in DAOItemScanner, but the default path to the "Addins" folder is: "C:\[user's documents]\Bioware\Dragon Age\..." gamer21fizzy
hmmm, it could be because i didn't unRar something. i was supposed to unRar a file but i don't know how to
Thandal
".rar' is another file compression format, like ".zip". The utility WinRar is probably the most common for uncompressing it (well, on a Windows box, obviously!) but the current version of WinZip knows how to handle it as well. But, Yeah, if the instructions were to uncompress something and you didn't, it probably won't work!

Thandal
CORRECTION to information in my previous post #4: UNLIKE every other one of the DLC, (which do install in the folder I listed) DA:A installs itself in the "C:/[Program Files]/Dragon Age/Addins" folder. (Modify path as appropriate for 64-bit OS or Steam installs...) So the AddItemScanner would expect to find that path for it, IF you have DA:A installed at all. Under a retail disc PC installation of DA, the ONLY "override" folder that (almost) any mod will ever know or care about is: "C:/[user's documents]/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override..."' the_ice_man_31
I had the exact same problem, what I did to attempt to fix it was I looking in my c:/programs files/x86/dragonage folder. it said it couldnt find the "addins" folder, so I just created a new folder and named it "addins" so you could try that. I ran the scan again, and it said everything was successful. I dont know if that is the right thing to do or not but it seems to work. If you are useing 32bit windows, then dont worry about the x86. just make sure to make a new folder in your dragon age install directory (again named "addins"--without the quotation marks of course), not the one in your documents. I hope that helps!
